Compatible with JTL-Shop 5.3.0 through 5.8.2 and PHP 8.1 through 8.5

Attention: JTL-Shop 5.1, 5.2, as well as PHP 7.4 and 8.0, are no longer supported starting with this version.

This update includes several security enhancements, the JS-SDK 1.14.5 with new error messages, configurable labels for address corrections in the ERP system, and various bug fixes.

Security

• API key secured: Communication with the endereco API now takes place entirely on the server side.
• Secure Address Storage: The address storage feature now checks the shop request token, verifies that the address belongs to the customer, and rejects invalid requests.

New functions

• Configurable Designations in WaWi: For each address component (country, state, ZIP code, city, street, house number, additional address information), you can now specify a custom label that will be displayed in the correction notes in the order comments. Corrections to the state and additional address information are now also displayed.
• New Error Messages: Localized error messages for missing or unresolvable house numbers, Packstation and post office branch addresses, as well as missing or invalid postal codes.

Improvements

• JS-SDK Updated to Version 1.14.5: Resolves conflicting statuses during address validation, missing name statuses after corrections, and incorrect selection statuses for addresses that have been edited again.
• JTL-Shop 5.8 and PHP 8.5: The plugin now officially supports the latest versions as well.

Bug fixes

• Address Status When Fields Are Disabled: Optional fields such as "State" or "Additional Address Information" affected the validation status even though they were disabled in the form. This has been fixed.
• Packstation/Post Office Branch Address Type: The address type selected on the page is now correctly applied before the first check.
• "State" field after page load: The saved status of the "State" field is now displayed correctly even after the page is reloaded.
• Real-time testing on PHP 8.5: A deprecation warning in PHP 8.5 could cause all real-time checks in the front end to fail. This has been fixed.

Notes on the Update

Stores running JTL-Shop 5.1/5.2 or PHP 7.4/8.0 must be updated to a supported version before installation.

Saved address verification data from previous versions will be deleted during the update because it is not compatible with the new SDK. It will be automatically recreated during the next verification.

The io.php file and the associated .htaccess file are automatically removed during the update. If this fails, the files should be deleted manually.

The new WaWi labels are pre-populated with standard German values and can be customized in the plugin settings.

Bug fixes

• Error Messages When Session Data Is Missing: In certain processes, warnings or errors could occur if no customer or shipping address was available in the session, such as for guest customers. Address processing now runs without errors even when session data is incomplete.

Compatibility

• PHP 8.4: The plugin is now officially compatible with PHP 8.4.
• JTL-Shop 5.6.2 and 5.7.2: Compatibility with the latest patch releases has been tested and confirmed.

Notes on the Update

No manual steps are required. Existing configurations remain unchanged.
