New store plugins and features in August

During the vacation season we have some rest and we finally have time to present you the new Endereco modules and functions!

There's been a lot going on behind the scenes, here's the news summary for you!

Store module for JTL 4 and JTL 5 launched

The modules for the JTL store have started after the first test runs in stable operation and enjoy great popularity. All current Endereco functions that you know from Shopware 5 and Oxid 6 are also included here. I.e. you can in your JTL store now

• Check postal addresses in over 200 countries
• Check email addresses for deliverability
• Validate salutation
• Check existing customers
• Validate PayPal Express orders
• Pass on inspection results to WaWi with the purchase order (in the internal comment)
• and much more

Super Server available - with new status codes and functions

Our "super server" has been launched in version 1. It can now validate your addresses in a smart way and makes life much easier for you and your customers in the future. What has been done?

We have now massively expanded the number of check results and divided them much more finely. This means that we can now offer you to correct the address directly in the case of small errors, for example, without having to point this out to the customer. This is helpful e.g. in case of standardization or small letter rotations.

Furthermore, we now have the possibility to detect an address in an incorrect country and to point this out to the customer. Since we search in other data sources for an address not found in the specified country, we can use it to solve and correct even such cases. It also recognizes missing house numbers of an address and points it out to your customers.

In the future, it will also recognize your addresses in Germany at the building level and validate the house numbers.

Developers can also enjoy talking status codes, no more need for A1000 and overview tables.

New Magento 2 module

The Magento module was available all the time in a basic version. Now the module has been extended from scratch and raised to the level of the other modules. Now Magento merchants have the same possibilities as our users of OXID and Shopware.

New additions are

• Input Assistant
• E-mail verification
• Car capitalization for first name and last name
• Works now with street+house number in one and in separate fields
• Modern popup with address correction suggestions
• Super server status codes support

Shopware 6 Release

After almost two months of development, the Shopware 6 module is now also available in the Community Store and offers all Endereco services for address validation.

I.e. if you want to switch from Shopware 5 to Shopware 6, you are welcome to use our services there as well. Over time, we will expand the module with new features and options for you, such as the comments on the order status or the existing customer check.

What is planned?

Currently we are optimizing our server infrastructure to grow and offer you new services and more detailed address data. So there will soon be a nice dashboard on our statistics server. Here you can click through your numbers and create your own reports.

Furthermore, we are tackling the topic of data optimization and expansion in order to enable you to validate packing stations and post offices, which you have long wanted. First in a basic variant, which can later be expanded by a packing station / post office search.

In addition, new services are in the starting blocks!

There will be a check of the account number within the IBAN for German IBAN number. This will allow us to detect and point out invalid account numbers despite valid IBAN check digits for German IBAN numbers. For those who have enjoyed mathematics lessons in school, the Deutsche Bundesbank's rules and regulations for the interested self-study like to look at and in the future make the calculation in the head or on a sheet of paper itself.

Furthermore, we are working on a VAT ID check for business orders from abroad.
There are 2 versions of a test here.
1. simple validation - the VAT ID is checked for validity

2. extended validation - the VAT ID is checked for validity and matched with the company name. This way it can be avoided that the IBAN number of another company is used.

Phone number validation

When you dial the number of a telephone line at home or abroad, the status of this number is usually checked via the SS7 network before the call is connected. This SS7 network is used by the majority of telecom companies worldwide for fixed, mobile and VoIP calls. It is ideal for our checks for a number's availability as soon as it is entered in a form. Name checker

We currently use large databases to determine the appropriate form of address for a first name. In the future, we will provide additional services for first names and last names. On the one hand, the correct capitalization of names is to be ensured.
Furthermore, names can be checked for their "authenticity" and fake names, such as those of celebrities or the popular "Max Mustermann" can be recognized and excluded from an order.

All services are expected to be deployed as API services in October and will be available in plugins later.
