endereco address management service module (AMS)
Version 4.4.0 or higher of Plugin Ceres and Plugin IO is required.
Functional description #
The endereco address management services (AMS) enable you to improve the quality of the address data entered by your customers in a simple and uncomplicated way.
This works both in the Ceres webshop and in plentymarkets order processing.
In the plenty webshop, incorrect addresses can be corrected directly by your customers using correction suggestions. The spelling of addresses is automatically standardized. A two-stage process is integrated into the address forms for this purpose, which ensures that the data is entered correctly across almost all input devices.
Address validation
The address check validates entered address fields for validity in the overall context. For implausible entries, valid correction surcharges are automatically offered. The customer can choose between his entry and one of the correction thresholds.
Plentymarkets' order processing enables a comprehensive check. Endereco checks delivery addresses, corrects addresses fully automatically for the most part or writes correction suggestions in the order history.

The module only works with a valid API key, which you will receive from us. If you haven't received one yet, you can get one at Try Endereco 30 days for free in your system! or you can send it directly by e-mail to info@endereco.de free of charge.
You can try the module 30 days free of charge on your test instance or in the live store from the moment you receive the API key and use all functions.
Limitation:
For licensing reasons, the test is not performed at the house number level during the test period. We will activate this for you in live operation! You can find more conditions here.

Entering the access data #
- In the plugin manager -> store name -> select endereco Address Autocomplete

Selection of the test mode #

Create actions and status groups for the address check #
The endereco status IDs can now be viewed under Settings -> Orders -> Order status. If not already done, the endereco „Check address status“ must now be created. All orders that are set to this status are sent to the endereco API and checked there. Depending on the result of the check, they are then assigned a corresponding target status and commented on or automatically corrected according to the configuration in the order notes.
Option to check only certain addresses - via filters #
Option 1: Using the filters
Under "Orders" -> "Events" -> "Status change" -> "Check endereco address", filters can be defined that only allow a check under certain conditions.
For example, addresses can be checked if they have been received via a specific sales channel.
Option 2: Use of the tags
The available tags and their IDs are listed under Settings -> "Tags" "Overview" and to award them.
These can then be used as filter criteria in the action rules.
If you use endereco address validation both in the Ceres webshop and in order processing, since version 2.1.9 you have the option of tagging all incoming orders from the webshop if the customer's address has already been validated during the purchase process. This allows you to avoid duplicate costs by excluding orders with these tags from the checks in the event actions via the filters.
For example, PayPal Express purchases or existing customers are not checked - you can then validate these in order processing. If a customer creates an account in the webshop or orders as a guest, the addresses are already checked when they are created and then tagged when the order is received.
You can configure these tag IDs in the plugin settings under „Order tag“.
Function test in the Ceres webshop #
If the endereco plugin is active, the address check and also the address check are now active in the Ceres webshop.
After selecting the country, e.g. „Germany“, suggestions should appear when entering a zip code, place name or street name when entering the address.
If the address form is now sent, a "Modal" screen should also appear in the event of an error message, displaying an address correction suggestion if the address entered is incorrect.
Add privacy policy #
You should now inform your customers that we will check their address data and any other personal data. You now have two options for including this information:
We have created a text proposal for you, which you can include in your privacy policy. Customize the proposal according to the booked services.
On our website we offer you the possibility to check certain entries in address forms of our webshop for input errors in real time. This is to avoid problems with the delivery of the products you ordered due to incorrect information.
Furthermore, we want to ensure that their contact information is valid for sending information about their order or for any necessary queries.
We use the service provider endereco, Balthasar-Neumann-Straße 4b, 97236 Randersacker, Germany, to provide these functions. The service provider processes the data exclusively in accordance with our instructions. The legal basis for the transmission, processing and temporary storage of the data by the service provider is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, as it is absolutely necessary for the fulfillment of the contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures that some of the data entered by you in the input mask are checked for correctness. The following data is processed by the service provider
Address (country, town, zip code, street, house number if applicable)
E-mail address (if not activated please delete)
Phone number (if not activated please delete)
The data is processed separately at the service provider and not merged. The requests are deleted by the service provider as soon as the status of the entered data has been determined and the storage in the webshop has been completed, but at the latest after 30 days.
If you are already a customer of IT Law Firm and manage your legal texts there, you can simply add another text section to your privacy policy.
Switch to the paid productive mode #
In order for you to use our plugin productively, we need your consent to our GTCs and a signed order processing contract. You can do this using our form: Use of Endereco Services.
Regarding the order processing contract: For some services in which, according to the DSGVO, we process the customer's personal data or pass it on to third parties via interfaces, we require a data processing contract.
To our general terms and conditions: www.endereco.de/agb
We need an approval from the German Post, which can take about 2-3 days.
